No, the Tennessee Titans have not hired an offensive coordinator yet, but reports have surfaced that offer some insight into who it might be.Â
Multiple social media reports indicate that the Titans have reached an agreement to hire former New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll for the position, contingent on Daboll not being hired by the Las Vegas Raiders to fill their head coach vacancy.Â
Daboll quietly interviewed for the Raiders’ position last week and was then called back for a second interview, joining Joe Brady, Davis Webb, and likely Klint Kubiak as second-round candidates for the organization. As of this writing, there is no timeline for their decision.
NFL Insider Jeremy Fowler followed Schefter and added a similar report, clarifying that Daboll has agreed to become a coordinator if not hired as a head coach, although he didn’t specify a team.Â
An accomplished offensive coordinator before taking the helm of the Giants in 2022, although his tenure in New York was marred by inconsistency, he is still a highly sought-after play caller who has a history of developing young quarterbacks.Â
