The Eagles have interviewed former Buccaneers offensive coordinator Josh Grizzard for a second time on Wednesday, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz.

Grizzard already spoke virtually with the team. He’s the third candidate to meet twice with the Eagles, joining Packers quarterbacks coach Sean Mannion and Colts offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter.

In Grizzard’s first season as Tampa Bay’s OC in 2025, the Buccaneers’ offense severely regressed and many players underperformed, including quarterback Baker Mayfield. The Buccaneers finished 21st in both total offense and rushing and 20th in passing, which led to them firing Grizzard after the season.

In 2024, the Buccaneers had the third-best offense in the NFL under former offensive coordinator Liam Cohen, who is now the head coach of the Jaguars.

Grizzard could bounce back with Philadelphia, but it would be a risky move to bet on someone who has already failed as a play caller.

The Eagles could buy into Grizzard’s upside, betting that he will improve with more experience. At 35 years old, he has coached under two of the best offensive coaches in the NFL — former Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel for two years (2023-2024) and Cohen for one year (2024) — and the Eagles may want him to install concepts from those offenses to evolve their offense.
