The Denver Broncos are still reeling from a disappointing end to what was shaping to otherwise be a potential Super Bowl-winning season.
However, news broke regarding one of the members of the team’s last Super Bowl-winning team almost exactly a decade ago – tight end, Vernon Davis.
Per TMZ, Davis – who also played for the San Francisco 49ers and Washington Commanders over the span of his 14-year career in the pros – has been accused of attacking a woman with books back in May 2025, during a row that occurred stemming over her being pregnant.
According to the complaint, the woman alleged that Davis both hit her with books and items, along with offering her a large sum of money.
Vernon Davis Accused Of Attacking Woman During Argument
“TMZ Sports obtained the criminal complaint filed on Jan. 8 … with the woman claiming she was at the ex-49ers tight end’s home on May 31 when a disagreement broke out in his room over her pregnancy.” The site’s staff published on January 29.
“In the complaint, the woman says the 41-year-old “was hitting me w/ magazines + books from under his TV” … and added he offered her $10,000.”
Although the woman subsequently claimed that Davis proceeded to stop when she pulled out a phone to record what he was doing, she alleged that another altercation occurred between the pair just a week later.
Woman Alleges Second Domestic Incident With Davis
“On June 7, the woman said another argument broke out when she accused Davis of lying to her … and when she sat next to him on the couch, she claims he slapped her in the face and told her “not to question him.” The piece continues.
“She said later that night, she recorded a conversation with Davis, where he stated,” per TMZ, “If I really slapped you, your face would be blue/black.”
Prior to both incidents, TMZ reports that the criminal complaint by the woman states there was another physical incident that left her with “visible bruises”.
The publication reports that Davis has a court date set in February, after a warrant was issued for his arrest for assault and battery back on January 8.
