Josh Allen believes the Super Bowl probably would have looked very different this year if he made one more play in the divisional round playoff game between the Buffalo Bills and Denver Broncos.
The Bills’ star quarterback turned the ball over four times, including two interceptions and two fumbles at Empower Field. After the loss, the Bills decided to fire their head coach, Sean McDermott. When speaking with the media, Allen admitted he feels partially responsible for McDermott’s fate and the team being at home for the Super Bowl.
“I’d be lying to you if I’m sitting here saying that I feel like I had part in it because if I make one more play, that game in Denver, we’re probably not having this press conference right now,” said Allen. “We’re probably not making a change. In all honesty, we’re probably getting ready to play another game.”
Patriots fans won’t like that last line.
Allen sounds pretty confident that the Bills would have gone into Foxborough and beaten the Patriots for a second time this season. And to be fair, who knows what would have happened in the rubber match between Maye and Allen?

The Bills made too many mistakes and got outdueled by a Broncos team that the Patriots beat 10-7 in the AFC Championship Game. New England is now set to contend for their seventh Lombardi Trophy when meeting the Seattle Seahawks in Santa Clara at Super Bowl LX.
