Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has made headlines this week related to his comments about the NFL’s recently revealed 2025 schedule.

While those headlines can paint Burrow as negative at times, there’s an important detail to remember — he’s right.

Burrow was right to bemoan the fact the Bengals have to play a fourth consecutive night primetime game against the Ravens in Baltimore.

“Playing in Baltimore for the fourth straight year in primetime isn’t ideal,” Burrow added. “Maybe we can get one of those in Cincinnati. Please.”

Those involved with making the NFL schedule can publicly comment on the topic all they want, but there’s something to be said about competitive balance when it comes to this situation. It’s surely not explicitly intentional, but there also must be a better way to track these things and make sure they don’t happen.

As it stands now, the Bengals get a short week to that Thursday night game in Week 13, then play in Buffalo in Week 14, then host the Ravens in Week 15. It’s a brutal three-game stretch that could decide the season for the team and, frankly, Burrow’s right to address it.
