Christian Parker’s defensive staff in Dallas is starting to take shape.
According to the Cowboys’ website, the team has hired Derrick Ansley and Ryan Smith as defensive assistants. Ansley will serve as Dallas’ defensive backs coach/defensive pass game coordinator, while Smith will be the team’s secondary coach.
Ansley recently worked in Green Bay as the Packers’ defensive pass game coordinator. Smith spent the past three seasons in Arizona, working as the Cardinals’ cornerbacks coach.
Dallas is working quickly to put together its defensive staff under Parker. The Cowboys hired Parker as their new defensive coordinator earlier this month.
