Who did the Indianapolis Colts select in a three-round 2026 NFL mock draft from Pro Football Network?
Without a first-round pick this year, the Colts have two selections between Days 1 and 2 of the draft — one pick in each of the second and third rounds.

Not having a first-round selection puts more of a premium on GM Chris Ballard finding some immediate help on Day 2.
Whether it be in free agency, the draft, or both, this feels like an offseason where Ballard is going to heavily address the defensive side of the ball.
Now, let’s take a look at who PFN’s Jacob Infante had the Colts selecting.
Colts pick at No. 47: Malachi Fields, WR, Notre Dame
“A standout at the Senior Bowl, Malachi Fields didn’t get too much of an opportunity to display his gifts at Notre Dame,” wrote Infante. “He’s done so in Mobile, demonstrating the body control, ball skills, and stem work that the 6’4″ weapon displayed in flashes for the Fighting Irish.”

There’s certainly a chance that one of Michael Pittman or Alec Pierce won’t be on the roster in 2026. If that’s the case, then wide receiver does become more of a need. However, should the Colts be spending the 47th overall pick on that position? I don’t agree with that. There are more pressing needs elsewhere.
Colts pick at No. 78: Joshua Josephs, EDGE, Tennessee
“A rotational defender in 2024, Joshua Josephs put together some impressive tape with a bigger role on Tennessee’s defense in 2025,” wrote Infante. “He’s a little undersized for an edge rusher but brings impressive acceleration, flexibility, and motor, rushing the passer.”
If I were building out a Colts’ positional need big board, edge rusher would be at the top — assuming Daniel Jones is back at quarterback. To put it simply, the Colts need more consistent pass-rush juice from that unit. Beyond Laiatu Latu, that was lacking in 2025. In addition to that, Kwity Paye, Tyquan Lewis, and Samson Ebukam are all free agents.
