The cast is large and features some past and present Bills, including current long snapper Reid Ferguson.
“I think it’s just a cool opportunity to showcase what we’re all about,” he said.
Reid said the locker room has been very excited about the movie.
“Guys come up in the locker room like ‘Hey, where are you guys going?’ We’re like ‘We’re going to go film the Hallmark movie.’ And they’re like ‘How do I get in one?'” he said. “I think there’s definitely a lot of interest from the locker room, for sure.”
We asked Reid — how are your acting skills?
“Oh my goodness,” he said. “I guess we’re going to find out.”
Hallmark actually came to Orchard Park last December for the Bills’ matchup against the Patriots, to get a feel of what Western New York was like on game day.
“We had the best time,” said Samantha DiPippo, Hallmark’s senior vice president of programming. “And I think we were really trying to understand what is so special and unique about Bills Mafia, about this team, and about the city.”
A release date has not yet been announced.
