Of interest for the Indianapolis Colts, there were several defenders who stood out during Saturday’s Senior Bowl game.

Eric Edholm of NFL.com put together his three takeaways from the game, one of which highlighted the numerous standout performances on defense

This should interest the Colts, given that this offseason is shaping up to be one where GM Chris Ballard prioritizes the defensive side of the ball, or at least that’s what he alluded to during his end of season press conference.

The front seven, in particular, should be a big priority for the Colts. Depth along the defensive front and at linebacker is needed, but specifically, adding a greater coverage presence at linebacker and more pass rush juice should be on Ballard’s radar.

With help from Edholm, here were some of the standout defenders from Saturday’s game.

Zion Young, EDGE, Missouri

Listed at 6-5 – 262, Young had a breakout year in 2025, recording 56 pressures and eight sacks. He also graded out as one of PFF’s better run defenders among his position group.

Bryce Boettcher, LB, Oregon

A reliable tackler throughout his career, which helped Boettcher limit pass catchers to only 6.0 yards per reception in 2025. He also logged an interception and three pass breakups.

Quintayvious Hutchins, EDGE, Boston College

Hutchins has had steady pass-rush production, totaling 25 quarterback pressures in each of the last two seasons. His run defense grade from PFF also took a big jump in 2025.

Rayshaun Benny, DT, Michigan

Measuring in at 6-4 – 305, Benny logged 18 pressures last season and was a top graded run defender from the interior.

Nadame Tucker, EDGE, Western Michigan

Tucker put together a huge season at Western Michigan in 2025, recording 61 quarterback pressures and 14 sacks, according to PFF. He also held his own in the run game as well.
