A former Alabama assistant finds a new home in the NFL.
According to reports, Brian Daboll has been hired as the new offensive coordinator of the Tennessee Titans. Daboll joins the staff of new head coach Robert Saleh who got the job last week. If Daboll is not selected by the Raiders, for whom he is a candidate for their head coach opening.
Daboll hopes to turn around an offense that consistently ranked as one of the worst in the NFL over the past few seasons. In this new role, Daboll will also have another young dynamic QB, the 2025 NFL draft’s No. 1 overall pick, Cam Ward.
Previously, Daboll was the head coach of the New York Giants from 2022 till his firing during the 2025 season. With the Giants, Daboll only went to the playoffs once, finishing with a record of 20-40-1 in three seasons.
Daboll has spent time across the NFL at various stops, but most of his success has come in college as an assistant at Alabama in 2017 when the Crimson Tide won a national title.
