Fans, players, coaches, media and more are beginning to arrive in the San Francisco, California area. Photos of the NFL‘s official Super Bowl 60 merchandise are surfacing on social media.
Some are ripping it.
Who’s buying an AFC or NFC hat?
“Not the Rob Lowe department,” one fan joked.
“SEC football fans would go crazy for this,” one fan added.
“This is how SEC fans look,” another fan wrote.
Patriots fans bothered by their Super Bowl 60 gear, too
It’s not just the AFC and NFC fan hats that are getting chastised on social media. Patriots Super Bowl gear is facing blowback, too.

NFL fans don’t love it.
“We’ve really lost the plot completely when it comes to pro sports merchandise. I miss the 2000’s and 2010’s,” one fan wrote.
“Hilarious, but sad and not unexpected, that the largest sports merchandise company on earth, doesn’t have any actual jerseys from either team at the SUPERBOWL store lol,” one fan added.
“Fanatics is one of the worst companies of all time,” one fan added.
“Garbage, it’s all garbage. What happened to “wear what the pros wear.” That was the biggest reason you wanted gear as a kid. Joke,” one fan added.

“Still cannot believe the gross non-authentic jersey selection that spread through this event (not just this year). Make the gameday Super Bowl jerseys more accessible to fans. Please,” one fan added.
“The NFL can’t even get Super Bowl patches on their own jerseys. What a (expletive) show merchandising has become across sports,” another fan added.
It’s a rough look.
