All eyes on the Ravens.

They hired Declan Doyle to be their offensive coordinator.

29 years old, it’s a, it’s a lateral move for Doyle, where he was the offensive coordinator for the Bears, and the Bears obviously allowed him to go to this situation where he’ll be the new offensive coordinator under Jesse Minter in Baltimore.

I think I, I stress the Bears angle of this because a lot of people are coming in and saying, “Whoa, look at the Bears,” and, “Came in from Ben Johnson.”

Yeah, I get that, but, like, Ben Johnson looked at the situation and was like, “No, we’re good.

You go ahead.”

Like, there is a little element of if we’re going- d- Declan does not have a, a long resume at this point of tremendous success everywhere else.

He’s, he’s young.

He’s, he’s young in this process.

He’s a young head coach.

But I do think it’s at least curious when the guy that we’re now regarding as one of those three or four elite offensive minds is like, “No, no, no, I can run my offense with somebody else.

Go, play call- call plays.

Have a, have a great time, work with Lamar.”

Like, I think that is a statement to what they’re getting with the Ravens.

I don’t know how to feel about people my age getting head coaching jobs or coaching jobs in general in the NFL.

I feel like the crypt keeper.

Um- just imagine when you’re my age, and you’re telling athletes that they’re too old to play, and they’re younger than you are.

That’s a beautiful thing.

Oh, man.

That’s what I have to look forward to.

It happens.

The future is bleak.

Mm-hmm.

I don’t know anything about Declan Doyle, and I would be lying if I said that I had a long, long history and at least some, you know, really strong take about what he’s going to be or what he can be.

I don’t know.

I don’t know the answer to that question.

Like you said, we have a very, very limited sample size of a 29-year-old taking this job in the NFL.

Another one where he steps into with massive expectations.

It is Super Bowl or bust in Baltimore, and it should be.

When you have a two-time, could have been a three-time MVP in Lamar Jackson, your Super Bowl window is open right now, and you want to capitalize on it immediately.

They don’t have four years.

No.

Like, they don’t have time to figure it out.

They don’t have time to let him learn and make his mistakes.

No, no, no, no, like, you need to win right now.

I would say the exact same thing about the Cincinnati Bengals.

I would say the exact same thing about the Buffalo Bills.

You are in a window right now to capitalize on your elite quarterback now that you’re in this kind of window.

Declan Doyle doesn’t have time to figure it out.

Declan Doyle doesn’t have the opportunity, the privilege of being able to get baptized by fire- … and, and make mistakes and learn throughout the process.

The expectation is perfection.

The expectation is Super Bowl.
