It didn’t take long for Joe Lombardi to land on his feet.

After being fired by the Denver Broncos last week, Lombardi is joining the Baltimore Ravens as a “senior offensive assistant,” according to The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec. He will now work under new Baltimore head coach Jesse Minter.

Lombardi already has some familiarity with the Ravens‘ staff — new offensive coordinator Declan Doyle coached alongside Lombardi with the New Orleans Saints (2019-2020) and again in Denver (2023-2024). Both coaches worked under Sean Payton in New Orleans and later followed him to the Broncos.

After firing Lombardi, Payton promoted offensive pass game coordinator/quarterbacks coach Davis Webb to offensive coordinator. To replace Webb’s old role, offensive quality control coach Logan Kilgore was promoted to quarterbacks coach.

Lombardi, 54, has been coaching at the pro level since 2006. Baltimore will mark his sixth team in the NFL, and his 11th gig as a coach.
