Stefon Diggs knows that it is unlikely Buffalo Bills fans will be pulling for him and the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LX against the Seattle Seahawks. Despite this, he wants the Bills Mafia to know that he loves them and misses them.

“I love you guys,” Diggs said at Super Bowl LX Opening Night via The Sick Podcast. “I know I’m far gone, but I do miss you all. I built a great relationship with you all.”

There was a time when the fan base loved Diggs. Of course, things changed when the wide receiver forced his way out of Buffalo. The Bills would send Diggs to the Houston Texans along with two day three draft picks for a 2025 second-round pick.

Diggs has never gone into great detail about what happened in Buffalo, but his usage and targets seemed to play a significant role in his desire to leave. By trading Diggs, the Bills were left with a dead cap hit of over $30 million.

Time, of course, heals all wounds. Diggs would admit that part of him wishes that things had ended differently in Buffalo. He acknowledged that the Bills have a special quarterback in Josh Allen while saying part of him wishes things were different.

“Keep hanging your head on that quarterback,” Diggs added. “That quarterback is a Hall of Fame quarterback. Parts of me do wish things were different because I do have a lot of love and respect for that team.”

Diggs’ career is nearing its end. Perhaps in a few seasons, the receiver will come back to Orchard Park as the Legend of the Game. By that point, fans may be willing to welcome the receiver back with open arms. Diggs, at least, hopes so.

“I know that they’re not huge fans of me at this point,” Diggs said. “I got a lot of love and respect for that organization and that fan base. One of the craziest fan bases in the world. Probably one of the best… Definitely one of the best fan bases. Hopefully one day we can hug it out.”
