Last offseason, there were rumors abound on what would happen with Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams, and it’s looking like this offseason will bring more of the same until Stafford officially opts in (or doesn’t) with the Rams.
Of course, Stafford ended up staying with the Rams and had an MVP-type season.
That was 2025, this is 2026.
Going into 2026, there are a number of variables from Stafford’s interest to playing again, his health, how much money he’d want from the Rams, and there are external variables like the potential number of teams who would take a chance and trade for Stafford, if they could.
The Super Bowl is Sunday, but after that, let the rumor mill get to work (if it hasn’t already) because until Stafford makes a decision, all options for Stafford and the Rams may be on the table, and there should be no shortage of people talking, writing and speculating on what those options are.
All eyes will be on Stafford and the Rams this offseason, again.
