The Tennessee Titans are starting to dig into their offseason plans now that the majority of the new coaching staff under Robert Saleh is in place.

General manager Mike Borgonzi discussed their roster evaluation process as they prepare for free agency and the NFL draft. When they settle in, the front office and staff will likely see a significant need to upgrade the cornerback, edge, and wide receiver positions, as well as an overall lack of quality depth across the roster.

Lance Zierlein of NFL.com did just that and has the Titans selecting an explosive, impact defender to help fill one of those voids in his latest mock draft.

4. Tennessee Titans – Edge David Bailey – Texas Tech

Bailey is like a basketball player on grass with his ability to elude offensive tackles and slash into the pocket. The Texas Tech product, who tied for the FBS lead with 14.5 sacks this past season, offers explosive sack potential early in his pro career.

Bailey is rising up draft boards and could be a solid fit in Robert Saleh’s defense. Experienced and armed with a quick first step, he was productive in two different conferences and proved to be a problem for Big 12 offenses in 2025.

In his only season with Texas Tech, he exploded for 43 total tackles, 17.5 tackles for loss, and 13.5 sacks, and continues to create a buzz in the initial stages of the pre-draft process. While he may lack the prototypical height for an edge, his explosive traits and ability to make plays in the backfield could make him an intriguing complement to Jeffery Simmons on the Titans’ defense.Â
