The Denver Broncos lost a heartbreaking AFC Championship game against the New England Patriots, 10-7, last month. What makes the Broncos‘ loss to the Patriots so heart-tugging is that they were without their star quarterback, Bo Nix. Nix injured his ankle the week before and was ruled out for the rest of the playoffs.
Kay Adams, the host of FanDuel TV’s Up & Adams show, ponders the scenario: What if Nix played in the AFC championship game? Would his play have helped the Broncos win the game? Per Adams, Nix would have provided stability to the offense since he has commanded the ship the past few years. He would also have done a better job of giving the offense better ball control.
Adams noted that the fumble Jarrett Stidham had in the second quarter may not have happened. But all in all, would Nix have won the game instead of Stidham? We’ll never know.
