SANTA CLARA, Calif. —

The New England Patriots enjoyed a day off Tuesday as they prepare to face the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl 60.

Receiver Kayshon Boutte described how players planned to spend their time away from practice.

“Spend time with my teammates, maybe eat, go shopping, look for a game-day fit,” Boutte said. “But aside from that, nothing much.”

At the Patriots’ hotel, much of the conversation centered on team owner Robert Kraft not being elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame during NFL honors on Thursday in San Francisco.

“I would just say that that’s unfortunate,” head coach Mike Vrabel said. “I would say that in my experiences with Robert, he’s more than deserving, and he’ll be in the Hall of Fame. I’m not in charge of deciding when that happens.”

As the countdown to Sunday continues, players say they are staying focused while envisioning bringing a seventh Vince Lombardi trophy to New England.

“Man, I think I’ve been doing that for quite some time for sure,” linebacker K’Lavon Chaisson said. “Obvisouly you got to put it into existence, man, you got to be able to embrace it and envision it for sure, but I definitely plan to hoist it and make my dreams come true this Sunday.”

The team will return to practice Wednesday at Stanford University.

An updated injury report, including an update on quarterback Drake Maye’s injured shoulder, is also expected.
