With the Seattle Seahawks just days away from competing in Super Bowl 60, some towns can’t contain their excitement. That’s why the City of Hoquiam has been (temporarily) renamed ‘Hawkuiam.’

Mayor Ben Winkelman issued a proclamation renaming the city until February 8th. In it, cheered the Seahawks for making it to their fourth Super Bowl and “while the Seattle Seahawks may play in Seattle, they belong to all of the people of the State of Washington and the Pacific Northwest region. 

Winkelman also noted its the Seahawks opportunity to ‘even the score’ with the Patriots.
