Kilgore

Former MTSU football standout Logan Kilgore has been named the Denver Broncos quarterbacks coach by head coach Sean Peyton.

Kilgore played for MTSU from 2010-13, and during that time, set the program with 8, 059 total yards and 57 touchdowns. As a quarterback, he threw for 7,489 yards and 53 touchdowns.

The quarterback wasn’t drafted out of college in 2014. After being cut by Payton as a free agent, Kilgore played in the Canadian Football League.

He first played for the Toronto Argonauts in 2016 and 2017 and played on each for the Hamilton Tiger Cats and Edmonton Eskimos. Kilgore left the CFL in 2019 after amassing more than 2,000 yards and 11 touchdowns.

After stepping away from football in 2020, Kilgore was hired as a offensively analyst by Butch Jones in 2021

Kilgore spent the past three seasons as an offensive quality control coach for the Broncos. He also coached at Bakersfield College and Isidore Newman (La.) High School. He worked with tight ends and returns with the Broncos.

Kilgore was promoted the same day as Davis Webb, who was named the Broncos offensive coordinator.

Denver was the No. 1 seed in the NFL playoffs but lost 10-7 to the New England Patriots in the NFC Championship. Starting quarterback Bo Nix missed the game with an ankle injury.
