This could be a reunion for the ages.

Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry made his feeling on clear about where he wants his former teammate and disgruntled Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown to end up if he’s traded — he wants him back and playing with Henry like when they both played for the Tennessee Titans from 2019 to 2021.

People may have already forgotten that when the 2 were paired together they were one game away from making it to the Super Bowl, when the Titans lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game following the 2019 season.

Henry talked about the Ravens possibly trading for Brown on “Up & Adams” with Kay Adams on Wednesday.

“We would gladly love to have him … Come on over, please A.J., come to Baltimore, let’s go get this ring … Him and Zay (Flowers), that’d be crazy,” Henry said. “And then (Rashod) Bateman, Mark (Andrews), gotta get (Isaiah) Likely back. We cooking”

One player Henry forgot to mention — 2-time NFL MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson.

Henry Had Legendary Season With Brown

Playing alongside Brown on the Titans — and playing for current New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel — Henry had one of the greatest seasons for a running back in NFL history in 2020.

That year, he became one of just 9 players in NFL history to rush for over 2,000 yards in a single season and was named NFL Offensive Player of the Year.

Brown, a 2019 second round pick, had over 1,000 receiving yards for the second straight season that year — 70 receptions for 1,075 yards and 11 touchdowns in 14 games.

Henry left the Titans after the 2023 season to join the Ravens in free agency — one year after Brown was traded to the Eagles.

In 2 seasons with the Ravens, Henry has rushed for 3,486 yards and scored 34 total touchdowns. He earned NFL All-Pro honors in 2024 and signed a 2-year, $30 million contract extension in May 2025.

Trading for Brown Would Be Massive Reach

Any team who wants to trade for Brown is going to have to pay a pretty penny.

The 3-time NFL All-Pro is one of the NFL’s elite wide receivers and gets paid like it. He signed a 3-year, $96 million contract extension with the Eagles before the 2024 season that keeps him under contract through 2029.

In return, the Eagles would likely have to give up one of the wide receivers Henry mentioned — Flowers or Bateman — and probably throw in a draft pick. If it’s Bateman, think a second rounder.

If it’s Flowers, that’s maybe a third round pick or fourth round pick.

It might be worth it. Wherever Brown plays, teams win. He made the playoffs 2 out of 3 seasons with the Titans and has been in the postseason all 4 seasons with the Eagles, including playing in 2 Super Bowls and winning 1, following the 2024 season. ‘

There’s one big caveat that comes with trading for Brown – he’s a massive diva.

No NFL wide receiver has grabbed more headlines in the last few years than Brown when it comes to complaining about the offense and whining about not getting the ball.

Those problems seemed to come to a head this year in Philadelphia’s NFC Wild Card loss to the San Francisco 49ers — a game in which Brown and head coach Nick Sirianni had a screaming match on the sideline in the first half.
