Texas Tech defensive assistant coach C.J. Ah You is reportedly headed back to the NFL.
Ah You, who served as Tech’s outside linebackers coach from 2022-25, is expected to fill the same role with the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to multiple reports. The 34-year-old is set to join defensive coordinator Patrick Graham’s staff under former Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy.
Ah You had reportedly interviewed with the Cowboys for an assistant coaching position before he interviewed with Pittsburgh.
In addition to his time as outside linebackers coach, Ah You served as interim defensive coordinator for the Red Raiders’ 2024 bowl game following defensive coordinator Tim DeRuyter’s exit after the regular season.
