Tre’Davious White has returned to the Buffalo Bills, but at what price?

The team signed White to a one-year deal. Initially it was reported as a one-year deal worth $6.8 million.

With it being a contract for only a year, it’s still not a straight-for-ward contract.

Baked into the deal are various workout bonuses and game incentives. White’s salary sits at $1.56M alongside a signing bonus of $1M a $100,000 workout bonus and various pre-game bonuses. He also has $2.2M guaranteed at signing.

At the end of the day it comes down to the salary cap for most fans.

While White sits at that overall contract number of $6.8M, his cap hit sits much lower.

Against the salary cap, White will cost Buffalo just $2.88M. According to Over The Cap, if released, White would actually save the team $680,000.

White’s return won’t likely bring him tons of playing time as a starter but he could provide positive depth in the secondary.

Bills Wire will continue to provide updates throughout the 2025 offseason.
