Former NFL QB Michael discusses his first year as head coach of Norfolk State and the outlook for new Falcons head man Kevin Stefanski. Michael Vick joined on behalf of EA Sports.

We’re at the Super Bowl at Radio Row.

You’re, you’re a coach now.

You’re a head coach.

Yeah, I’m a head coach now.

Tell, tell us how your first year was on the sidelines, kind of running the program and, and everything like that.

my first year, man, it was, you know, trials and tribulations just like everything else, ups and downs.

full of a lot of learning experience and, experiences, and at the same time, it was full of a lot of, jubilation.

It was a lot of excitement, you know, a lot of eagerness and, you know, just the, the willing- to the willingness to, to go out and win was what excited me every day.

The opportunity to go win was what excited me, and so, you know, each and every day the season grew on me.

my players, they were, they were phenomenal.

They fought hard to the end, and, I can say I was surrounded by a good group of people.

Atlanta’s got a new coach.

Where- I live in Atlanta, actually.

I would say the reaction in the city’s been mixed- Yeah … to the hire.

What are your thoughts on Coach Stefanski coming to Atlanta?

I mean, I, I think Coach Stefanski has got, a good track record.

you know, I think in life, in anything, man, change is good, too.

So when you get a fresh start to do something different, you get to come up with different ideas and, you know, you’re around different, different people, new people.

so, you know, different things might flow, and on top of this, experience you got.

So, I, I think you just gotta wait and see.

you know, that’s with any coaching change, man.

It’s just the unknown.

You never know until you actually get the product out on the field.

Yeah, so you’re telling the folks back home to be patient.

Give him a chance.

Yeah, definitely be patient, man.

Be patient.

you know, I, I Everybody wanna win- Right … in life, so it’s hard to ask somebody to be patient who wanna be- who wanna, who wants success, you know?

But it’s a process.

now tell us, talk about Madden.

We ran, you guys ran the sim this week predicting the game.

Oh, yeah, yeah.

For sure.

So tell us about it and, and give us your pick, too.

Yeah, well, the sim, I think, came, had the Seahawks winning 23-20.

Yeah, close game.

close, very close game.

I can see that.

that don’t cover the spread, but- … it’s a win.

you know, I’m torn between the two teams.

I’m excited to see, you know, two new teams in the Super Bowl, two quarterbacks that earned the right to be there, two defenses and coaches that earned the right to be there.

so that’s what the Super Bowl is all about.

May the best team win.

All right, m- so Mike says if you’re putting money down and you trust the sim today- … it ain’t gonna cover that spread.

You trust the sim, man.

Sim might be accurate.
