SANTA CLARA, Calif. — The Seahawks have experienced a fluctuating run game this season, notably impacted by the loss of Zach Charbonnet.

As they approached the playoffs, the team managed to improve its ground performance, surpassing 160 rushing yards per game in the final three weeks of the regular season. Despite the challenges posed by strong defenses, establishing a solid run game remains crucial in the Super Bowl.

Offensive lineman Grey Zabel highlighted the importance of persistence in the run game heading into Sunday.

“We just gotta run the damn ball and understand it might not be great to start or it might be ugly at the beginning, but you just gotta keep your head down and keep working and be able to run the ball,” Zabel said.

Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III has rushed for 178 yards and four touchdowns in just two NFL playoff games and is just the third player on a Super Bowl team to average 125-plus scrimmage yards per game and two-plus touchdowns per game. A feat only Hall of Famers Terrell Davis and Jerry Rice have done before.
