NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — As Nashville’s new Nissan stadium is set to open in spring 2027, FOX 17 News is breaking down some facts you should know about the venue.

Metro Nashville Council approved the $2.2 billion domed stadium was approved in spring of 2023. As of September 2025, construction is more than halfway done.

The planned capacity for the stadium is approximately 60,000.There is 77,000-square-feet of videoboards with a two-in-one endzone, one in the other and a wraparound “Ring of Fire” screen.The seat color for the new stadium will be navy blue.The roof is a non-retractable, “high-tech ETFE translucent roof,” similar to SoFi Stadium, according to the Los Angeles Rams.There will be 44 escalators at the new stadium, compared to four at the current stadium. There will be contactless payment throughout with more “staff less” concession stands to reduce wait times. There will be a Ryman-sized stage that can roll out of the stands. The stadium is “one of one,” but the lower bowl is most similar to Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
