It’s Super Bowl week, and fans of the Tennessee Titans are at home watching the New England Patriots, under their former coach, Mike Vrabel, prepare to play for a championship.

While this is a major disappointment for the fan base, who have suffered through some dark times in recent seasons, it doesn’t seem to shake their resolve. Now, with general manager Mike Borgonzi and new head coach Robert Saleh in place, a sense of excitement is building around Nashville, and there is hope for the future.

Titans fans are amazing people, and according to the guys at Covers.com, Titans fans ranked 17th in NFL knowledge in a recent national survey, with 76 percent of respondents confident in their sports knowledge. The most eye-opening tidbit from the survey was that 31 percent of Titans fans learned from their fantasy football leagues. Fans of the Los Angeles Chargers came in first after the results were tallied.

What do you think? Do you feel the fan base is more knowledgeable than their 17th-place finish, or do you believe that the Titans’ fans are more knowledgeable than the survey indicated? Sound off and let us know your thoughts.
