The Denver Broncos have a few big needs to address this offseason, with linebacker being one of the more pressing issues, with Alex Singleton a free agent.

While defensive line depth, and another wide receiver and tight end could be in the cards, the other big need is at running back. J.K. Dobbins is a free agent, and the Broncos could bring him back.

Or, they could upgrade from Dobbins with another running back. Mason Cameron of PFF.com believes that the Broncos would be the best landing spot for free-agent Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III.

Broncos named best landing spot for Kenneth Walker

“Top Landing Spot: Denver Broncos,” Cameron writes. “While J.K. Dobbins – also a free agent this spring – performed well while leading the Broncos’ backfield when healthy, a player like Walker could take it to the next level.”

Denver will need to address the running back position this offseason, as RJ Harvey isn’t good enough to be a bellcow in the NFL. He’s a solid option, but he’s better when paired with another runner.

Dobbins is an option, but if the Broncos want a better option, Walker from the Seahawks would be a great free agent target.

He’s had 3,555 rushing yards in four seasons with the Seahawks, including 1,027 yards this season to go with five touchdowns.

But, he’s been in a split backfield all season with Zach Charbonnet. While he’d split in Denver with Harvey, his production is better than his season-long numbers indicate.

This playoffs for Seattle, Walker has put up some incredible performances, including four rushing touchdowns in just two games. Walker’s rank for 178 yards, and caught seven passes for 79 yards in the playoffs as the team’s bellcow.

While running back might not be the top need for Denver, if they decide to upgrade the position, then Walker would be the best free agent target, according to Cameron.

His big-play ability is enticing, and combined with his versatility, Walker is a clear top fit for the Broncos this offseason.
