New Ravens head coach Jesse Minter is bringing a top offensive assistant with him from Los Angeles to Baltimore. Chargers pass game coordinator Marcus Brady will take up the same role on Minter’s staff, per CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz.

Brady, 46, filled a key role on the Chargers’ staff. As Ravens fans know all too well, offensive coordinator Greg Roman’s strength lies in the run game, so Brady’s expertise was crucial. He picked up Justin Herbert’s development where Joe Lombardi – previously the Chargers’ OC and now a Ravens assistant – left off. Herbert put up two strong seasons with top-10 numbers in 2024 and a Pro Bowl in 2025 despite a horrendous offensive line.

A former CFL quarterback himself, Brady began his coaching career in Canada before getting his first NFL job in Indianapolis. He initially worked with the team’s quarterbacks and was promoted to offensive coordinator in 2021. He was dismissed partway through the 2022 season and quickly found a job with the Eagles, where he worked with Jalen Hurts during two Pro Bowl seasons.

Brady is another experienced addition to the Ravens’ offensive staff under new coordinator Declan Doyle. The 29-year-old’s relative youth was the biggest concern when evaluating candidates for the job, but Brady, Lombardi, and other veteran coaches will help offset that.
