CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – Good things come to those who wait.
After falling short in his first year on the ballot, Panthers legend linebacker Luke Kuechly finally earned the call to join the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
He’s the first member of the Hall of Fame to play his entire career with the Panthers.
Carolina’s first round pick in 2012 went on to win the Defensive Rookie of the Year honors that season as a precursor for the career to come.

Kuechly went on to win Defensive Player of the Year in 2013, and earned seven Pro Bowl and seven All-Pro selections across his eight-year career.
He also led the leagues in tackles twice and was named to the all-decades team for the 2010s.
Kuechly will be the second-youngest player to ever earn entry into the Hall when he puts on his gold jacket this summer. Chicago Bears running back Gale Sayers was 34 years when inducted in 1977.
Drew Brees, Larry Fitzgerald, Adam Vinatieri, and Roger Craig join Kuechly as part of the 2026 Pro Football Hall of Fame
The Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place in Canton, Ohio later this year on August 8, 2026.
