Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry offered a provocative statement regarding the organization making a trade. During a Twitch livestream, the five-time Pro Bowler implored Baltimore to make a particular deal.
“AJ to the Ravens!”
Henry referred to AJ Brown of the Philadelphia Eagles. In recent months, Brown has appeared to be at odds with his team through his actions and quotes. As a result, rumors began to bubble regarding the 28-year-old wideout. Despite winning a Super Bowl in 2025, Brown maintains a tense relationship with his quarterback, Jalen Hurts.
Henry and Brown played three seasons together as members of the Tennessee Titans. As a result, the running back decided to recruit the pass catcher publicly. While teammates in Nashville, Henry enjoyed his best statistical season, rushing for 2,027 yards and 17 touchdowns. Meanwhile, Brown continues to stack solid seasons on the outside.

During his seven-year career, he eclipsed 1,000 yards six times. Moreover, his 15.3 yards per catch signifies a player who can stretch defense. For example, four of his seven touchdowns occurred on passes longer than 20 yards.
On top of that, Brown can fit in multiple offenses with his ability to leave defense. Not to mention, the wideout has a reputation as one of the most physical wideouts when it comes to breaking tackles. In the past three seasons, the six-foot-one, 226-pound receiver broke 28 tackle attempts.
Brown Could Easily Acclimate to the Ravens’ Defense
For a look at how Brown fits into the Ravens’ defense, the new offensive coordinator’s last job provides a clue. The Chicago Bears used DJ Moore as a serious threat within an offense that heavily featured two tight ends, a power-based run game, and a mobile quarterback.
While Moore isn’t as physical as Brown, he excels with downfield catches and threatening safeties. Lamar Jackson throws the ball with more accuracy than Caleb Williams. The two-tight-end set would make the Ravens either re-sign Isaiah Likely or draft his replacement this spring.

Inside the receiver room, the biggest beneficiary of the potential trade could be Zay Flowers. Flowers excels in the slot, forcing the defense to attend to the middle of the field. 49 of his 86 catches in 2025 occurred in the middle of the field. Brown would give the Ravens a threat down the side, in the red zone, and underneath, relying on his tackle-breaking ability.
Brown’s presence opens up the run game, both downhill and to the boundary. Secondaries could face difficulty in support when a receiver opens up one side of the field by driving corners and safeties at least 20 yards away from the line of scrimmage.
Philadelphia’s Asking Price Could Be Reasonable
If the relationship between the wideout and the organization is irreconcilable, the Eagles could look to move Brown before the NFL Draft. While Brown may not command multiple first-round picks, compensation could start with a first-round pick and mid-to-lower round selections after that.
Either way, any potential trade helps both teams. For the Ravens, it gives the offense a legitimate big-play wideout on the outside that can use power and speed to win reps. In contrast, the Eagles would shed $113 million in salary cap space, granting flexibility.
