SANTA CLARA, CA – The kickoff to Super Bowl 60 is nigh, the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots set to square off for the Lombardi Trophy – for the second time in 11 years. You probably remember how that ended the first time (if not, we have receipts … and so does Seattle).
But how will it go this time on Super Sunday at Levi’s Stadium, a venue where the Seahawks have had recent success – including a win in Week 18 of the regular season that earned them the NFC’s No. 1 playoff seed – but a place where the Patriots have rarely played (just twice, and once since 2016)?

The Seahawks won’t turn the ball over
One of the primary reasons New England caught a wave to Super Sunday was its ability to take the ball away – the Pats generating eight turnovers in their three playoff wins to date. But while the narrative exists that the Seahawks will eventually be undone by a turnover from QB Sam Darnold – he had a league-high 20 this season – he hasn’t given the ball up since Week 17, nor has Seattle as a team during that period. We’ll say that trend continues.

Stefon Diggs has at least 12 catches and 75 yards
Why are those numbers significant? The Patriots’ top pass catcher only has 11 grabs for 73 yards – total – during New England’s 2025 postseason run. If the Pats are to take down the Seahawks, QB Drake Maye will need to get his No. 1 receiver – and Diggs has a proclivity to shine under the NFL’s brightest lights – involved early and often.
There will be a special teams TD
Whether it’s Seattle’s Rashid Shaheed, who has three scores on returns since being acquired from the New Orleans Saints in November, or New England’s Marcus Jones, who has three punt returns for TDs during his four-year career, expect a big play in the third phase. (Fun facts: The last player to take a kickoff to the house on Super Sunday was Seattle’s Percy Harvin in Super Bowl 48. No player has ever scored on a punt return in the history of the Super Bowl.)

Seattle gets at least six sacks
Bold? Maybe not so much. New England has allowed five sacks of Maye in all three of its postseason wins. Now, the Patriots encounter a team that had 267 pressures during the regular season, per Next Gen Stats, even though the Seahawks only blitz about 22% of the time. Strength vs. weakness seems bound to favor Seattle.

A Drake Maye turnover will decide the game
Maybe a goal-line interception in the waning seconds with the Seahawks leading 28-24? Who’s to say … other than the NFL’s (alleged) script writers, who are sure to have something wild in mind to balance the scales of Super Bowl karma.

New England Patriots QB Drake Maye warms up before Super Bowl 60.
