Even though the Eagles weren’t in the Super Bowl this year, there were plenty of former Eagles who played — and played well — in Super Bowl LX.

The Seahawks dominated defensively and ended up beating the Patriots 29-13 on Sunday in Santa Clara, California.

Here’s a look at how the former Eagles in this game played:

Seahawks

CB Josh Jobe: The Eagles signed Jobe as an undrafted free agent out of Alabama in the 2022 season and he was a part of their Super Bowl team that year. In 2022 and 2023, Jobe played in 28 games with the Eagles but has really made Seattle his home.

Jobe, 27, was a full-time starter for the Seahawks’ dominating defense this season and he had a big game on Sunday in the Super Bowl. Jobe faced a team-high 10 targets on Sunday and gave up just 3 catches for 11 yards with a pass breakup, per NFL NextGen Stats. That’s the fewest yards allowed by any defender facing 10+ targets in a regular or postseason game since at least 2018.

And his Super Bowl performance wasn’t a fluke. Jobe allowed a 46.1% completion percentage this season (regular season and playoffs), which was the fifth-lowest among qualified defenders in the NFL in 2025. On Sunday, the Patriots tried to attack Jobe and it just didn’t work. In addition to his coverage, Jobe also had 7 tackles (2nd most on Seattle behind Ernest Jones IV) and a TFL.

FB Brady Russell: If you tuned in to see the coin toss, you might have noticed that Russell was one of the Seahawks’ five captains at midfield. Russell was joined by Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Devon Witherspoon, Leonard Williams and Cooper Kupp. Under head coach Mike Macdonald for the last two seasons, it has been a tradition to name rotating captains for every game. It seems notable that Russell was the special teamer chosen for the Super Bowl.

Russell was with the Eagles in the summer of 2023 as an undrafted tight end out of Colorado. Russell was released at final cuts that year and was on the Eagles’ practice squad until the Seahawks signed him to their 53-man roster in late September. He has been in Seattle ever since and switched positions to fullback in 2025.

Russell played just 58 offensive snaps all regular season and played just 8 in the Seahawks first two playoff games. In Super Bowl LX, Russell did not see the field on offense but played a team-high 32 special teams snaps and played 76 special teams snaps during this playoff run. He had a couple of tackle assists on Sunday.

S Maxen Hook and CB Tyler Hall: Both former Eagles defensive backs were on the practice squad and not elevated for this game. But they both earned rings.

Patriots

DT Milton Williams: His attempt to win back-to-back Super Bowls fell short but Williams played well. Williams had 1 sack, 2 tackles, 2 TFLs and a batted pass in a losing effort. Williams is the first former Eagle with a sack in the Super Bowl since Chris Clemons in 2014 with the Seahawks.

After having 2 sacks with the Eagles in Super Bowl LIX and 1 on Sunday night in Super Bowl LX, Williams joined Jeff Wright as the only defensive tackles with a sack in multiple Super Bowls. Williams has now played in 13 career playoff games and has 6 sacks, which ties him with Kyle Van Noy for 7th among active NFL players. Williams is behind just Von Miller (10.5), Nick Bosa (10), Will Anderson (8), Arik Armstead (8), George Karlaftis (8) and Danielle Hunter (7.5).

Williams, 26, was drafted by the Eagles in the third round of the 2021 draft out of Louisiana Tech and had a good four-year run with the Eagles before signing a four-year, $104 million contract with the Patriots this past offseason.

WR Mack Hollins: Long before the game even started, Hollins got a buzz going with another one of his unique arrivals.

But Hollins backed it up with a nice game in a losing effort. He was targeted a team-high 8 times on Sunday and had 4 catches for 78 yards and the only Patriots touchdown of the evening. The 35-yard touchdown catch early in the fourth quarter gave the Patriots their only glimmer of hope. Hollins, 32, became the first former Eagles player with a touchdown catch in a Super Bowl since Keith Byars in 1996, also with the Patriots.

Hollins was drafted by the Eagles in the fourth round of the 2017 draft, so he was on that Super Bowl LII team, earning a ring as a rookie. In his first Super Bowl appearance, Hollins played 17 offensive snaps but was not targeted.

LB Christian Elliss: The former Eagles linebacker didn’t start Super Bowl LX but he did played 33 of 72 defensive snaps (46%). He finished the game with 3 tackles and a QB hit. Elliss’s QB hit came in the third quarter on Sam Darnold, who still completed a 16-yard pass to Rashid Shaheed.

Elliss, 27, was with the Eagles in 2021-23 and was on the active roster in December of 2023 when they released him to sign Shaq Leonard. The hope was to sneak Elliss through to the practice squad but he was claimed off waivers by the Patriots and has been in New England ever since. Oops.

LB Patrick Johnson: After spending the 2025 season with the Eagles, Johnson was signed to the Patriots’ practice squad in the lead-up to Super Bowl LX. But he was not elevated for this game.
