The Seattle Seahawks won Super Bowl LX over the New England Patriots. However, the offseason is underway, and they will need to make major decisions on pending free agents as Seattle looks to repeat as champions.

Nonetheless, the Seahawks do have the sixth-most cap space, per Over the Cap. As a result, they could bring back a few players back for next season. Still, some players might want to test the open market and sign a lucrative contract that might be too rich for Seattle.

One of the pending free agents for the Seahawks is wideout Rashid Shaheed. During a Feb. 9 segment on CBS Sports HQ, NFL writer Ryan Wilson shared that if Shaheed does head to the open market, the Buffalo Bills would be an ideal landing spot for him.

“[Shaheed] could be a wide receiver two or three [and] he adds to the return game; he wins down the field consistently on deep routes,” Wilson said. “All that came together once he arrived in Seattle. I think he makes a lot of sense for teams that need speed. The Buffalo Bills might be interested in someone like Rashid Shaheed to pair off opposite Keon Coleman.

“The Steelers and the Chiefs are two other teams that could be in the market for speedy wide receivers to help diversify their wide receiver room. I think there’s going to be a real market for him. The only question is, Seattle want to give some of that $75 million in salary cap space to bring him back, to keep that wide receiver room intact along with JSN and Cooper Kupp.”

Could Seahawks’ Rashid Shaheed Follow Klint Kubiak to Raiders

The Seahawks sent a 2026 fourth‑ and fifth‑round pick to the Saints to land him, and his speed and big‑play ability paid dividends in crucial moments this season.

With that speed and needing to improve their wideout group and with Klint Kubiak now in the fold as their head coach, the Las Vegas Review-Journal’s Adam Hill floated the idea that the Las Vegas Raiders should consider going after Shaheed to reunite him with Kubiak.

“In addition to watching Klint Kubiak call plays on Sunday, Raiders fans should probably pay very close attention to Rashid Shaheed, who Kubiak loves and is about to hit free agency,” Hill wrote on X on Feb. 1.

Rashid Shaheed Might Be Looking to Major Payday

On Jan. 22, NFL analyst Marc Ross noted 11 free agents who are deserving of a payday, including Shaheed.

“I loved the midseason trade that sent Shaheed to Seattle, and it’s obvious why,” Ross wrote. “Shaheed was effective in his first three-plus years in New Orleans, but the move put a bigger spotlight on how much of an impact he can make as an electric player with the ball in his hands.

“For those of you who didn’t see last Saturday’s Divisional Round blowout of San Francisco, Shaheed is Percy Harvin-esque with the goods to alter a game as a returner, as evidenced by his 95-yard touchdown on the opening kickoff. Shaheed is lightning in a bottle with the talent to elevate a lot of offenses.”
