There has been a lot of talk about what the Tennessee Titans should do in the 2026 NFL draft in recent weeks, and rightfully so, with the team holding the fourth overall selection. But, there is still a long way to go before we get there.

Tennessee has some significant roster questions it has to answer in the next few weeks before the start of free agency, and what they do will definitely impact the draft. One of those is what they are going to do with cornerback L’Jarius Sneed, who has been a complete bust since cashing in with a massive contract.

Sneed has been a disaster, and in many ways, his acquisition set the team back. He has been so bad that even some former Titans are calling him out, with the latest being Keith Bulluck.

“I feel that we have to hold these people more accountable,” Bulluck said. “I don’t know if we’re [Titans] getting L’Jarius Sneed back, but he comes in here gets a bag and, to me, doesn’t really show up.”

Bulluck is spot on. Since the Titans acquired Sneed from the Kansas City Chiefs and signed him to a four-year, $76.4 million contract, averaging $19.1 million per year with $55 million in guarantees, he has played in 12 games over two seasons and has been dreadful in coverage. Instead of being a shutdown cornerback, he has been a target that quarterbacks love to attack.

The Titans have a decision to make in the coming weeks. On the fifth day of the 2026 league year, $7.5 million of Sneed’s $15.15 million 2026 base salary will become guaranteed, and it would not be surprising to see the Titans part ways with him to free up some more salary cap space.
