The New York Giants are interviewing former Tennessee Titans head coach Brian Callahan for their vacant quarterbacks coach position, reports NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.

Callahan, 41, would possess extensive NFL experience for the role under new Giants head coach John Harbaugh. He previously served as offensive coordinator for the Cincinnati Bengals from 2019 to 2023, contributing to Joe Burrow’s development and a high-powered passing attack.

Earlier in his career, Callahan held coaching roles with the Denver Broncos (2010-2015), Detroit Lions (2016-2017), and Las Vegas Raiders (2018), primarily focusing on quarterbacks and passing game elements.

After his Bengals tenure, Callahan was hired as the Titans’ head coach in 2024 but was dismissed early in 2025 following a 1-5 start, ending with a 4-19 overall record in Tennessee. Despite the short head coaching stint, his background as a QB developer and offensive mind has kept him in demand.

The Giants’ QB coach job became open amid Harbaugh’s staff rebuild following his hiring. Callahan had drawn prior interest from New York for their offensive coordinator vacancy earlier this offseason, but this interview targets a position coaching role focused on quarterback development — potentially a step toward rebuilding the Giants’ passing game.
