Klint Kubiak is officially the new head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders after agreeing to a five-year deal. The Las Vegas Raiders had to wait until after the Super Bowl to make it official since that was Kubiak’s last game as the Seattle Seahawks’ offensive coordinator, a 29-13 win.
He confirmed he was Las Vegas-bound right after the final whistle.

The Raiders wanted a young offensive coach ready for his first head job, and Kubiak checked that box. The roster still has questions, but there are pieces worth building around. 2025 NFL Draft sixth overall pick, Ashton Jeanty, is the one that stands out most.
During his introductory press conference, Kubiak was open about how he sees the running back fitting into things going forward.
“Very excited about [Jeanty’s] skill set and what he brings,” Kubiak said. “The thing I would tell him and all his teammates is that it’s not just about one guy. We’ve got to get the line on the same page; we’ve got to get our quarterback to get the right run checks.”

“We’ve got to get our receivers to go block for him so that we can get the play action going. But as soon as our players can realize it’s a team thing and not an individual thing, we’re going to be successful.”
Jeanty’s first season was a tough one, and none of that fell on him. Chip Kelly changed his offensive approach midseason, and the line struggled most weeks. Even then, Jeanty finished with 1,321 yards from scrimmage and 10 touchdowns.

What comes next depends a lot on who Kubiak brings in as offensive line coach. That hire matters.
Jeanty already produced under bad conditions. Give him better blocking and a more stable system, and 2026 could look very different.
