Sam Darnold #14 of the Seattle Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks got the job done in Super Bowl LX, wiping the floor with Drake Maye and the New England Patriots at Levi’s Stadium in the Bay Area. It wasn’t much of a contest for the Seahawks, with Sam Darnold and company dominating from start to finish.
In the aftermath of winning his first Super Bowl title in the NFL, Darnold has become a household name, with a story that will serve as motivation for aspiring professional athletes for many years to come.
Sam Darnold Wants Brad Pitt to Play Him in a Movie

With Darnold becoming well-known after leading the Seahawks to a Super Bowl title, the USC product recently appeared on TMZ to discuss the 2025 NFL season and the impressive playoff run.
Along with talking about the best season of his NFL career, he was asked who he would have play him in a movie if he had the choice, with the Seahawks leader under center coming up with two options, both of which are pretty comical.
“Ron Weasley?” Darnold said. “Trying to think of the one person who has red hair in Hollywood.”
Darnold was referring to Rupert Grint, of Harry Potter fame, which makes sense given his red hair, as he pointed out.
But then Darnold went with the superstar option, picking one-time Oscar winner Brad Pitt, who has had some success in iconic sports movies like F1 and Moneyball.
“I think another good one would be a classic like Brad Pitt,” Darnold told us. “I think he could play a good quarterback — I’d have to see his throwing motion — but yeah, I think he could be a good quarterback.”
Although it might be a stretch to think a movie will be made one day, anything is possible.
No Franchise Tag Predicted for Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III
Kenneth Walker III #9 of the Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks’ front office will have some work to do during the NFL offseason, with Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III potentially having the option to leave the team in free agency.
However, there’s always the option of a franchise tag being placed on the running back. John Breech of CBS Sports doesn’t believe Seattle will go that route with the 25-year-old rising star.
“I am going to go with no franchise tag here,” Breech said. “Look, I know Kenneth Walker was great in the Super Bowl. That’s how you win MVP. And by the way, that’s pretty solid leverage to have when you’re going into free agency or when you’re going into contract extension negotiations.
“I do think if the franchise tag is going to be over $14 million for a running back, and the Seahawks are real practical about how they spend their money. I’m not sure that they want a running back who is going to be in the top five highest-paid running backs in the NFL.”
It’ll be interesting to see what the Seahawks’ brass decides to do, but one thing is for sure: Walker will get paid one way or another after an incredible run during the NFL playoffs.
