Ferguson declared Feb. 11 as “Seattle Seahawks Super Bowl Champions Day,” celebrating the team’s victory with festivities in Seattle and honoring key contributions.
SEATTLE — Gov. Bob Ferguson issued a proclamation Wednesday declaring Feb. 11 “Seattle Seahawks Super Bowl Champions Day,” as the team celebrated with a ceremony at Lumen Field and a parade through downtown Seattle that drew thousands of fans.
In a post on Facebook, Ferguson shared the proclamation, which specifically recognized kicker Jason Myers, who hit a record five field goals to lead the Seahawks to victory in Super Bowl LX. The proclamation also honored Super Bowl LX MVP Kenneth Walker III, head coach Mike Macdonald and quarterback Sam Darnold.

Ferguson additionally recognized the Seahawks’ fan base — known as the 12s — for their unwavering support throughout the season and postseason run.
The proclamation follows the state Senate honoring the team earlier in the week.
The Seahawks’ regular season ended with a 14-3 record, an undefeated postseason that included a dominating 41-6 victory over the 49ers in the Divisional Round, and a 31-27 win over the Rams in the NFL Conference Championships.
The Seahawks brought home the Lombardi Trophy for the second time in franchise history when they defeated the Patriots 29-13 at Levi’s Stadium.
