The Miami Dolphins are hiring former Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo as their new passing game coordinator, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.
Patullo, 44, spent four seasons as Philadelphia’s pass game coordinator before he replaced Kellen Moore, who became the New Orleans Saints‘ head coach, as offensive coordinator. In his sole season at the reins of the Eagles offense, Patullo had the frequent support of head coach Nick Sirianni, but fans grew increasingly frustrated with the underachieving squad fresh off its Super Bowl LIX victory.
One young Eagles fan went viral for his frustration with Patullo following the team’s 23-19 loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the playoffs.
In Miami, Patullo will return to a role where he had plenty of success under multiple offensive coordinators, including Indianapolis Colts head coach Shane Steichen in addition to Moore. He’ll replace Bobby Slowik, who spent one year as the Dolphins’ passing game coordinator before he was promoted to offensive coordinator earlier this year.
The Dolphins offense, which is expected to move on from Tua Tagovailoa at quarterback, finished the 2025 season No. 25 in passing yards and No. 21 in passing touchdowns. Miami did, however, attempt the third fewest passes.
