Nebraska is in the running for class of 2027 safety Tavares Harrington. He spoke with Steve Wiltfong (subscription needed) earlier this week about his relationship with the program.
The four-star prospect is the 122nd-ranked player in the 2027 class, the 12th overall safety in his class, and the seventh overall player from the state of Illinois per the Rivals Industry Rankings.
Harrington goes to Mount Carmel High School in Chicago. This is the same high school as 2026 Husker offensive tackle commit Claude Mpouma.
The safety indicated that secondary coach Addison Williams stopped for an in-house visit. He also said the relationship with the coaches is strengthening and that he is excited about what the Huskers are doing.
This would be another strong addition to the already loaded 2027 class. The class currently ranks seventh nationally in the Rivals Industry Rankings.

The Huskers have made it a priority to land strong defensive backs over the last couple of classes. Harrington would certainly fit the profile and be another strong addition for Williams, who has been recruiting at a high level.
