Following an excellent 2025 season, the Jacksonville Jaguars’ Trevor Lawrence is listed very highly in NFL.com’s quarterback rankings.

Nick Shook recently ranked all 63 quarterbacks who made a start last season. Based on their play in the regular season and playoffs, he then listed those quarterbacks from 1 to 63.

Rounding out Tier 1 was Lawrence, who came in at No. 6 in these rankings. At the top was Matthew Stafford, followed by Josh Allen, Dak Prescott, Drake Maye, and Justin Herbert.

A year ago, Lawrence was No. 26 on Shook’s list.

“Lawrence was a laser-accurate passer, used his legs more than he ever has as a pro and proved to be the unrelenting engine behind a Jaguars team that evolved into an offensive machine in the second half of the season,” Shook wrote.

As the season went on and Lawrence got more comfortable in Liam Coen’s offense, he really began to take off.

Leading the Jaguars’ offense, Jacksonville averaged nearly 33 points per game during their eight-game winning streak.

Lawrence, specifically, ranked fourth among all quarterbacks in total passing yards in that stretch of games, per PFF.

He was also third in yards per pass attempt, second in passing touchdowns, and had the fifth-lowest turnover-worthy play rate. We also saw Lawrence make a lot of plays with his legs.

Overall in 2025, Lawrence completed 61% of his passes for 4,214 yards with 41 total touchdowns — including 32 passing — to 14 interceptions.

Compared to the rest of his position group, Lawrence was seventh in passing yards and fourth in passing touchdowns.

A strong foundation was established in 2025 for Lawrence within Coen’s offense, providing him with a jumping-off point going into Year 2. Rather than learning a new scheme, which was the case last offseason, Lawrence can dive deeper into Coen’s offense this year.
