The Cleveland Browns have been hard at work over the past week looking for a new defensive coordinator after Jim Schwartz resigned. They’re turning over every rock, meeting with a ton of assistants, trying to find the right guy to run Todd Monken’s defense.

You can add another potential candidate to the list as Mary Kay Cabot reports the team has requested an interview with Houston Texans defensive pass game coordinator Cory Undlin. The veteran coach brings a ton of experience to the table. He has been a coach in the NFL since 2004 and even coached for the Browns from 2005 until 2008.

He has one year of experience as a defensive coordinator with the Detroit Lions in 2020. He’s been the Texans’ defensive passing game coordinator since 2023. Undlin has spent a lot of time coaching defensive backs in the NFL at multiple stops, including Philadelphia, Denver, and Jacksonville.
