Atlanta Falcons Defensive Coordinator Jeff Ulbrich spoke with the media yesterday and made it clear that he wants to see the Falcons re-sign linebacker Kaden Elliss. At the end of his answer Ulbrich said “To replace Kaden it would take more than one human being”, and earlier today The Morning Shift talked about how they would love to see the Falcons re-sign Ellliss too, but don’t know if Atlanta can afford to bring him back.
“I don’t know if you can afford Kaden Elliss, and I don’t disagree with a thing that Jeff Ulbrich said, but there’s two things that need to happen. A, you make the contract work where you can afford him and reward him at the same time, and B, he wants to be here where he can make himself a little bit more affordable while still making it an option.” Beau Morgan said
When it comes to free agents the Falcons have some tough decisions to make this offseason, especially on the defensive side of the ball, and depending on what exactly the Falcons priorities are this offseason when it comes to free agency Kaden Elliss could unfortunately be a cap casualty.
