Pittsburgh Steelers long snapper Christian Kuntz encouraged the team to bring back pending free agent veteran Elandon Roberts.
One year after leaving the Pittsburgh Steelers in NFL free agency, veteran linebacker Elandon Roberts will reach the open market again this March.
If it were up to Steelers long snapper Christian Kuntz, the team would ensure Roberts returns to Pittsburgh for 2026.
In the latest episode of his podcast this week, Kuntz urged the Steelers to reunite with the linebacker. The long snapper explained why he feels that way.
“If I’m getting into a fight, and I gotta call one person, it literally might be E-Rob. Like, I think I’m calling E-Rob,” Kuntz said. “I hope we get him back. I know he’s a free agent.
“I know the DC we signed, Patrick Graham, is close with E-Rob from Vegas, so I’m hoping E-Rob comes back. ‘Cause he was one of the best teammates I’ve had in my career.”
Roberts played for new Steelers defensive coordinator Patrick Graham with the Las Vegas Raiders during the 2025 campaign. Elandon Roberts posted 90 combined tackles with six tackles for loss. He also had one quarterback hit and one pass defense.
Roberts spent two seasons with the Steelers in 2023 and 2024. He had 101 combined tackles and 2.5 sacks during 2023.
