Justin Jefferson

Things appear to be reaching a boiling point in Minnesota between Justin Jefferson and the Minnesota Vikings. After the Vikings had an underwhelming season in which they failed to reach the playoffs and saw JJ McCarthy struggle, it has led to frustrations starting to grow from Jefferson.

*Prediction*

A trade at this point seems to be on the horizon. For the Vikings, as they undergo a bit of retooling, it would give them the draft capital and assets necessary to get a better quarterback under center. While there will be many teams looking to trade for Jefferson, a team that makes sense is the Seattle Seahawks.

Minnesota Vikings Trade Justin Jefferson to the Seattle Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks are just coming off an impressive Super Bowl victory over the New England Patriots. This Super Bowl marks the second one in which Seattle has won. They have plenty of star players under contract that they can build around for the future, but they need to continue to structure the team better with even more talent to make sure they don’t fall behind.

With the Seahawks they already have Jaxon Smith-Njigba as their standout receiver and he is coming off a season in which he had a 1,793-yard season with 10 touchdowns. They still need to add more receiving help, as outside of Smith-Njigba it was Cooper Kupp that was relied on as the other receiving threat, but even he only produced 593 yards.

If the Seahawks can get another standout receiver to ease the load off Smith-Njigba, they need to. Especially if the opportunity to trade for Jefferson comes about, they can’t pass that up.

Currently, Sam Darnold is the quarterback for Seattle, and he is someone that has a rapport with Jefferson already. That is something that would be beneficial for Jefferson as he looks for more stability. When Jefferson and Darnold played together in Minnesota it led to Jefferson producing 1,533 yards and 10 touchdowns.

With Justin Jefferson’s skill set, he would help emerge as another top talent for the Seahawks. He would also help take attention off Smith-Njigba to help the offense reach the next level.
