The Arizona Cardinals made it official on Friday and announced their coordinators for new head coach Mike LaFleur. They were as reported.
LaFleur’s offensive coordinator is Nathaniel Hackett.
His defensive coordinator is Nick Rallis, retained from the previous staff under Jonathan Gannon.
His special teams coordinator is Michael Ghobrial.
LaFleur has not worked with Hackett previously, but the they are connected. After LaFleur was offensive coordinator for the New York Jets and then moved on to the LA Rams, Hackett replaced him. Hackett twice was on on the Green Bay Packers‘ coaching staff under Matt LaFleur, Mike’s older brother.

LaFleur has not worked with Rallis, but has worked against him for the last three seasons. There is a vague connection. The Cardinals’ last head coach, Jonathan Gannon, now is the defensive coordinator for the Packers, working with Matt LaFleur. Rallis was Gannon’s defensive coordinator and they worked on the same defensive staffs prior to that, too.
LaFleur has worked with Ghobrial. LaFleur was offensive coordinator for the Jets while Ghobrial was an assistant special teams coach there. Ghobrial spent the last two seasons as the special teams coordinator for the New York Giants.
