The Miami Dolphins are entering an uncertain offseason, as the franchise is in a weird spot after missing the playoffs for the second straight season after firing Mike McDaniel and replacing him with Jeff Hafley, while also hiring Jon-Eric Sullivan as the general manager.

Miami’s quarterback situation is a complete disaster. The team will look to move on from Tua Tagovailoa this offseason, but doesn’t have a clear-cut replacement for the Alabama product.

With the Dolphins’ quarterback room in limbo, it would be wise for Miami to consider entering a full rebuild wth a new regime at the helm. That means wide receiver Jaylen Waddle could be available for trade.

Waddle still has multiple years left on his deal, but he could be a trade candidate for the Dolphins as they enter a potential reset. As a result, FanSided’s Sayre Bedinger lists the Washington Commanders, Denver Broncos, and Tennessee Titans as possible landing spots for Waddle.

After posting three straight 1,000-yard campaigns to begin his career, Waddle has had two down years, though he did tally 910 yards and six touchdowns in 2025 despite Miami’s abysmal quarterback play.

Washington and Denver should look to add another dynamic receiver for their young quarterbacks, Jayden Daniels and Bo Nix.

Both teams already have established No. 1 receivers in Terry McLaurin and Courtland Sutton, but pairing Waddle with either of them would form an electric receiver duo with a ton of versatility.

Tennessee could also use Waddle, as the 27-year-old would immediately step in as Cam Ward’s top pass-catcher and provide a much-needed boost to the Titans’ aerial attack.

We’ll see whether the Dolphins even consider moving Waddle, but it feels like a possibility as they embark on an offseason that could completely shift the direction of the franchise.
