Baltimore Ravens superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson is probably not being traded this season.
Right?
…Right?
While owner Steve Bisciotti has been adamant about building around the multi-time MVP, he’s also been upfront about the likelihood that Jackson will need to restructure his contract.
Heading into 2026, Bisciotti mentioned the team needs to fill some roster holes, and Jackson’s upcoming $74.5 million cap hit will change things drastically for the franchise.

If they can’t figure out a way to get the cap hit down, or the two sides can’t find common ground on their future, that leaves the door open. In that case, it could bring forth one of the biggest trade sweepstakes in history, with over a dozen teams offering up all of their picks for Jackson.
Which teams would be at the forefront?
You’d have to look at the teams with multiple first-round picks in the 2026 NFL Draft. The Ravens aren’t a team that wants a full rebuild and would want as many high-value picks as soon as possible to turn into impact talent over the next two years.
The trio to look at would be the New York Jets, Cleveland Browns, and Los Angeles Rams.
While the Jets and Browns have the most premium picks in April’s NFL Draft, there would be caution about whether Jackson would play for either of those franchises. Jackson has been adamant about wanting to make and win his first Super Bowl, and neither of those teams looks close to contending.
The Rams would seem like an ideal fit, but that would cost Los Angeles not only their first two rounders and multiple other high-end draft picks, but also moving Matthew Stafford to the Ravens.
While Jackson has two MVPs, Stafford just won the league’s most prestigious individual award.
Rams head coach Sean McVay has a tight relationship with Stafford, and that would seem unfathomable unless Stafford was OK with the move.
If there’s a dark horse for Jackson, look for the Raiders. They love taking big swings, and with the No. 1 overall pick, a swap for Jackson while the Ravens select Fernando Mendoza could work for both sides.
