Entering the 2026 NFL offseason, the Green Bay Packers know that they’re not far off from being a Super Bowl contender.

Throughout the course of the 2025 season, the Packers looked like a favorite in the NFC. Unfortunately, injuries took a hold of the team late in the season and Green Bay was quickly eliminated by the Chicago Bears in the Wild Card round of the playoffs after blowing a 21-3 halftime lead.

Brian Gutekunst will need to add more talent and depth to the roster this offseason. While Green Bay usually isn’t extremely aggressive in free agency, the front office will need to make some moves.

Heading into the offseason, the Packers have some decisions to make regarding some of their own free agents. One of those decisions will be about the future of wide receiver Romeo Doubs.

Over the last couple of years, Doubs has become arguably Jordan Love’s go-to wide receiver. He has been a key playmaker for Green Bay’s offense. Doubs will hit the open free agency market this offseason.

Keeping that in mind, a new prediction has been made for where Doubs will sign this offseason.

Fox Sports analyst Greg Auman has predicted that the Philadelphia Eagles will sign Doubs this offseason. Losing him would be a tough blow for the Packers, but seeing him sign with an NFC contender would make matters worse.

During the 2025 season with Green Bay, the 25-year-old wide receiver played in 16 regular season games. He caught 55 passes for 724 yards and six touchdowns.

In his first four seasons with the Packers, he has totaled 202 receptions for 2,424 yards and 21 touchdowns.

Bringing Doubs back in free agency remains an option for Green Bay. Gutekunst and company could choose to let him walk and move forward with Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, Dontayvion Wicks, Matthew Golden, and Savion Williams leading the way.

Only time will tell, but fans can only hope that the Eagles do not end up signing Doubs. Having to face him within the NFC on a team who should compete for a Super Bowl next season would be a dangerous gamble for the Packers.
